Sam Fender hails from the North East just like Robson, and he has been singing live at Virgin Money Unity Arena, the UK’s first dedicated socially distanced music venue in Newcastle.
Sam posted the news to Facebook fans, saying: “Absolutely buzzing for this, getting the band and crew back together for probably our only gig of the year. Apparently this is the first socially distanced show of its kind and it’s amazing to see the north east leading the way, it’s huge for the area.”
Robson is a big fan of Sam, who’s debut album Hypersonic Missiles rocketed to Number One last year, and he posted on Instagram about his experience of meeting him at one of the gigs:
As you can see, Robson is sporting a t-shirt with Sam’s face superimposed onto one of Robson’s photos, and the title changed to ‘Extreme Gigging with Robson Green’.
This prompted fans to ask where they can get one for themselves, and if you’re interested, you are in luck, but you’d best be quick…
The Extreme Gigging with Robson Green T-shirt, as seen at the UK’s first socially distanced outdoor gig in Newcastle, is available to pre-order until midday on Friday 21st August… so you’d best be quick.
