Tom Brittney and Robson Green enjoyed a pint as they continued filming series six of Grantchester in Cambridge on Wednesday.
The actors bonded over a beverage between takes after it was announced earlier this month the beloved show would return to screens.
Tom, 29, who plays Reverend Will Davenport, was dressed in a dark blazer and matching trousers along with a black jumper, and looked in good spirits as he chatted to his co-star between takes.
Robson, 55, who stars as DI Geordie Keating, wore a beige coat over a dark brown suit for the day of filming.
The pair were joined by a large production crew for the shoot who all maintained safety precautions amid the Covid-19 pandemic by wearing face masks.
Robson could also be seen sporting a mask as he spoke with members of the crew in between takes.
Kudos executive producer Emma Kingsman-Lloyd said: “In these difficult times we are delighted to be able to film another series of our beloved ‘Grantchester’.
“The cast and crew have worked tirelessly to bring the series to the screen and we know the audience are very excited to see what Will, Geordie and the ‘Grantchester’ family have in store for them.”
Tessa Peake-Jones is expected to return as Miss Chapman and Al Weaver will once again play Leonard Finch, while Kacey Ainsworth (Cathy Keating), Oliver Dimsdale (Daniel Marlowe) and Nick Brimble (Jack Chapman) will also reprise their roles .
ITV have also confirmed a number of special guest stars for the series, including Jemma Redgrave, Gary Beadle, Dominic Mafham, Rachael Stirling and Rebecca Front.
