Solid State band – Exclusive!

Photos from Mark Fowlis’s personal photo album

Robson Green was front man for the Solid State band

Robson as front-man for Solid State. I’m pretty sure this was circa 1981/1982 – in sixth form – possibly summer 1982.

This performance was in the Seaton Burn High School Drama Studio. Yours truly did the lighting (having previously resigned from the band – a bit like the fifth Beatle!)

Band members in the photo above are (from left to right); Stephen “Prof” Wiliamson (bass), Robson “Roppa” Green (vocals), John “Curly” Davis (keyboards) and Robert Jackson (lead guitar).

Not shown in this picture (but present) – Phillip Bell (rhythm guitar).
