Extreme Fishing with Robson Green S4 – At the Ends of the Earth

Robson Green’s passion for angling has taken him across the globe—but now, he’s venturing beyond the familiar. In this daring new six-part series for Channel 5, he goes truly off-grid, casting his line in the world’s most remote, unforgiving corners.

Where Few Have Fished Before
From the isolated isle of Ascension deep in the Atlantic, to the frozen steppes of eastern Russia, and across the scorched deserts of Argentina, Robson plunges into places where survival is as extreme as the fishing.

Tradition, Danger and Discovery
Joining local fishermen who risk everything for their daily catch, Robson embraces time-honoured techniques passed down for generations—sometimes primitive, often perilous, always fascinating. The waters yield astonishing and fearsome creatures, while the cultures he encounters reveal stories as captivating as the fish themselves.

Robson Unleashed
With his boundless energy and irresistible enthusiasm, Robson brings each moment to life, making this his most rugged, revealing, and relentless fishing expedition yet.

Ascension Island: Robson’s journey begins in the dead of night- at RAF Brize Norton. Only from here can he reach his first destination- a tiny outpost in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. This will be the most remote place Robson has ever fished – Ascension Island. Only just poking its head out of the sea, this seven mile wide rock was used by NASA to test the moon buggy.

Fish featured: Bluntnose sixgill shark, rock hind grouper, spotted moray, dolphin, blue marlin, black durgon, yellow-fin tuna, deep water bullseye, blackjack, amberjack.

Patagonia: This time, Robson’s journey continues in Patagonia, a region spanning the southern parts of Chile and Argentina. He’s on a mission to fish at the southernmost city on Earth, Ushuaia. This place really is the ends of the Earth. If he goes much further south, he’ll end up in Antarctica. But before he gets there, he’s after an extra special prize.
